Ja’Shawn Balancier was born in Slidell, Louisiana and is the testament of the age old saying “it takes a village.” JayBs love and culinary curiosity can be attributed to his travels during his military upbringing as well as his own 6 years of service.

Now he’s a graduate of Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts and an experienced pit cook who is taking inspiration from his Creole roots, passion for livestock and purpose of delivering love through food. It was in Hawai’i where JayB rediscovered his love for livestock, wild game and hospitality. This was the beginning of Prolific Creole.
